I uploaded this in sketch form because some people wanted to see it so you can see how badly I botched it with colors. I'm working on getting different textures into my pictures so I tried new things for fur/feathers (those are feathers by the way) and metal but it came out... okay, I guess.

The character himself is one of the Yagudo, a race of bipedal bird beastmen with some rather questionable ways of living. Meaning, these guys are CRAZY, but they're the coolest-looking of the beastmen and seem to be the most interesting, from what I've read. I wanted to work with one and how the "violently devout and ritualistic" upbringing would affect how a character thinks, however civilized.

The name is just sounds in the style of the traditional style of a named and titled Yagudo. "Silverheart" comes from his tendency to treat all creatures, beastmen and adventurers alike, based on their personality alone and how they treat him. I figure in a society like that of the Yagudo, where they not only sacrifice each other but also us, a neutral outlook would be notable even if it wouldn't be directly praised.

He's also a samurai and I figure his rank at the time he got permission to leave Castle Oztroja and travel abroad would be Knight Templar, and it worked because their job class is indeed samurai. He's probably subbing bard though because he's a drummer and a flutist. The birds are big on music, as their godhead was spared from punishment by death and declared Manifest because of her voice, declared by the previous Manifest to be divine.

Also, those pants are the Myochin Haidate, part of the (partially useless which is a shame because it looks cool) samurai artifact set worn by players. Yags typically don't wear pants, in fact, they typically don't wear anything besides their necklaces and the red masks on the mages, but screw it I wanted to give mine pants so I did.

... I've done a lot of research for a species that isn't even mine. But hey, if people can be Pokemon you bet your ass I'm gonna make myself a Yagudo. I like playing him because of his calm nobility and the fact that he seems to be the only character I've made so far who's actually competent.
